When I work with talented creatives that are as dedicated to visual storytelling as much as I am, extraordinary things happen. That being said, today I would like to take you to the Cotswolds where this story unfolds. We wanted to revive the archetypal English countryside charm, dreamily curated under the creative vision of Jennifer Louise Weddings and timeless imagery of Lucy Davenport Photography. The scenery was infused with ethereal florals, draped romantic aesthetic, astounding cake artistry, fine art stationery, modern romantic dresses, muted colour palette and one of the dreamiest intimate ceremony settings you have ever seen.
When working on the invitations, I was inspired by the classic books introduction layout. By intertwining layers of different papers to show the contrasting textures while keeping the design minimal. Furthermore, to embellish the whole aesthetic with intricate detailing that completes the storytelling, this fine art stationery features a venue illustration. I hand-illustrated a custom map of the venue and local attractions which would elevate the guest experience. As a final touch, the invitations had a calligraphy envelope with vintage stamps that was lined with a floral design on the inside.
The fine art editorial featured amazing floral arrangements which created a sense of refined romance in the garden scapes of the Barnsley House. The table setting was designed in the name of modern minimalist beauty, keeping the elements light with a gentle colour palette. For the place cards, I used pressed flowers embossed on little scrolls. I also enjoyed designing the illustrated Order of the Day cards complimented with a nude tassel in line with the timeless European style.
Our gorgeous models were a true embodiment of modern romance, laid back yet elegant; naturally embracing the vision and transcribing it to reality. With such dedicated team is was no surprise the editorial was chosen to be featured on Wedding Sparrow - be sure to check it here.
If you need a fine art stationery design that is personal and specially tailored to fit your unique personality, feel free to get in touch. I would be more than happy to curate paper goods that tell your own unique story.
