Stationery is an essential part of any wedding, and a beautifully designed suite can set the tone for the entire event. From the invitations to the menus, the stationery should reflect Linday and Jono’s style and personality while providing practical information for guests. For this luxury stationery project, the wedding planner Alex from the Bijou Studio challenged me to go a bit out of my usual style box to create this truly unique and quirky wedding suite so the couples colourful personalities show through it.
The first wedding date had to be rescheduled so we did two invitations. The first invitations featured the couple's names in letterpress on white card, with digital white printing on orange card for an extra pop of colour. To create a layered effect, the invitation, detail card, and note card for the family were different heights. White print also featured on the guest envelope addressing, tying the suite together beautifully.
For the day of items, the team created a custom venue map illustration of the stunning Osea Island venue, ensuring that guests knew where to find all the entertainment. The custom drink coasters were a fun touch, adding a personal and playful element to the celebration. As a surprise from Alex, the couple received custom drink stirrers featuring an illustration of their beloved dog, Udon.
The wedding was perfectly branded with custom food tags, custom-shaped menus with guest names, and bar signs around the venue. The tables were named after nicknames the groom calls the bride, with letter cutouts adding an extra pop of color on each table. It's clear that every detail was carefully considered and executed flawlessly, resulting in a stunning and cohesive event.
As a luxury stationery designer, I am always excited to work on projects that push the boundaries of creativity and showcase the unique personalities of the couple. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to be a part of this project and to have worked with such a talented and dedicated team.
