When it comes to weddings, every detail counts, and the stationery is no exception. It's the first glimpse guests will get of the event, and it sets the tone for what's to come. So when a couple wanted to create a luxury stationery suite for their Alice in Wonderland themed wedding hosted at the exclusive Aynhoe Park, I was thrilled to get started.
The couple had a clear vision of what they wanted for their stationery, and we were excited to help bring their ideas to life. With the help of the talented wedding planner Alex from the Bijou Studio, we settled on a colour palette of ecru and forest green, which perfectly complemented the Alice in Wonderland theme.
For the invitations, we created a double-sided A5 card, printed on high-quality paper with a matte finish. We then wrapped the invitation in thin twine, adding a personalised guest name tag and a small key to add an extra touch of luxury.
To complete the look, we chose frost green envelopes with digital white print for guest addressing. We then finished each envelope with a custom keyhole wax seal, adding an element of surprise and intrigue to the invitation.
In addition to the invitations, we also created a range of day-of items to ensure that the couple's Alice in Wonderland theme was carried through every aspect of their wedding. Instead of a traditional table plan, we produced small escort cards, featuring digital white print names and a custom "Open Me" sticker. To add an extra touch of magic, the Queen of Hearts instructed guests to pick up their cards, for an added element of whimsy to the overall design.
Once guests found their seats, they were greeted with personalised dinner menus showcasing an illustration of the Cheshire Cat.
Finally, we placed custom name cards on the door handles for the family and friends staying at the venue. These small details ensured that every guest felt special and included, and added an extra layer of luxury to the event.

Overall, this was truly one of our favourite stationery suites to date. The combination of the understated luxury and the creative personality of the couple made for a stunning final result that perfectly captured the Alice in Wonderland theme. From the invitations to the day-of items, every detail was thoughtfully crafted, ensuring that the guests were left with an unforgettable experience. I was honoured to be a part of this special day, and we wish the couple all the happiness in the world.
